Not everyone wants to sleep on top of the site. Matador puts you 28 miles north of Galaxy's Helios campus on a two-lane state highway with almost nothing on it—an easy half hour, and a town at the end of the day that isn't full of the same crew.

It also keeps options open. IREN's 750 MW campus at Childress is handing four new AI halls to Microsoft through the end of 2026, about an hour northeast on US-62/70 and US-83. Crews that move between the two jobs have used Matador as the middle.

Rooms are furnished and weekly, with kitchens, laundry and truck parking spelled out on each listing. Restaurants in Matador keep short hours; a kitchen is not optional here.
