Helios data center · Dickens County

Helios crews,
sleep close.

Galaxy's Helios campus outside Dickens finished Phase I this spring and is already pouring Phase II. If you're on that job, this is the closest bed to the gate that isn't a bunk in a camp.

The job

The job outside Dickens

Also known as Argo · Argo Blockchain Helios · Galaxy Digital Dickens · CoreWeave Dickens

Most people still call it the Argo site. Argo Blockchain built the first halls here for bitcoin mining; Galaxy Digital bought the campus in late 2022 for about $65 million and turned it toward AI. Phase I—roughly 200 MW gross, 133 MW of critical IT load—was handed to CoreWeave on schedule, and rent started in the second quarter of 2026.

Phase II is a 260 MW greenfield build on the same 2,200 acres: civil and structural work now, data hall deliveries starting in the first half of 2027. Galaxy has filed permits worth about $3.5 billion and is raising the same amount in notes to pay for it and whatever comes after. Approved power is 1.63 GW; the campus is studied out to 3.6 GW. Nobody expects the cranes to leave soon.

Dickens itself is a courthouse town of a few hundred people where US-82 meets Texas 70. There is no hotel row. That's the whole reason LaborLodge started here: furnished rooms with kitchens, laundry and a place to park the truck, rented by the week to the people working the Helios job.

The drive

From Dickens.

  • Spur 11 mi S on TX-70 closest grocery, pharmacy and fuel
  • Crosbyton 27 mi W on US-82 hospital, more rooms
  • Matador 28 mi N on TX-70 courthouse town, more rooms
  • Lubbock 70 mi W on US-82 big-box, airport, everything else

Know before you come

Dickens, in practice.

The things crews ask us about Dickens before they book—shopping, roads, what's in town and what isn't.

Shop in Spur or Crosbyton

Dickens has very little retail. Plan the grocery run around Spur (ten minutes) or Crosbyton (half an hour), and do the big shop in Lubbock on a day off.

Say what you're pulling

Every Dickens-area listing states whether a trailer or equipment fits. Tell us what's behind the truck when you book.

A kitchen isn't optional

Restaurant options in Dickens are few and close early. Every room we list here cooks.

Weekly rate, utilities in

Rooms are priced by the week with power, water and internet included. Extend as the schedule firms up—you approve each extension in the app.

Straight answers

What crews ask about Helios.

Is this the Argo data center?
Yes. Argo Blockchain developed the Helios facility; Galaxy Digital bought it in late 2022 and runs it as the Helios campus, with CoreWeave as the tenant. Same gate, new name.
How far are the rooms from the Helios gate?
Our Dickens listings are a few minutes out. Crosbyton and Matador rooms are roughly 25–30 miles. Every listing shows its distance before you book.
Can I stay for the whole Phase II job?
Book by the week and extend as you go. Extensions are approved by you in the app—nothing auto-renews and nothing changes without your say-so.
Do you have rooms for a crew?
Yes. Send the headcount and dates and we'll block rooms across Dickens, Crosbyton and Matador for the roster, with one bill for the company.

Moving a crew?

Seven or seventy—we’ll map the rooms to the job.

Grouped options, project billing, and one place to manage arrivals, extensions, and departures.
